They are compensated by a set fee that is a % of the project total cost, a flat fee arrangement or a cost plus with bonuses for exceeding schedules and cost savings. The erector usually installs the steel components, partitions, and doors after the contractor has installed the concrete.

We can supply you with the names of reputable companies in your area upon the completion of an agreement for release of names and the purchase of materials from our company. Steel erectors are available in most areas.

Generally, these erecting crews work as subcontractors to the general contractor or directly for the owner and/or their construction manager. If the owner is managing his or her own project the owner assumes the responsibilities of the general contractor. The work scope, schedules, inclusions and exclusions should be spelled out in a separate agreement with the entity hired as the material erector.
