This 40’x120‘x8.5’ charcoal-colored, CWS-brand steel self storage building with a galvalume roof was purchased from Regency Steel Buildings in 2012. It is a mini storage complex in the unincorporated community of Hessel, Michigan located about 50 miles from Cheboygan and 28.8 miles from St. Ignace.
The building features 30 mini storage doors, eight of which are 4’x7’ and the remaining 22 are 9’x7’. It was constructed with a wind load of 90 mph C and a ground snow load (GSL) of 60 lbs. The high snow load rating was necessary in order to accommodate the heavy snow fall the region is known for. Also added to the building were gutters and downspouts. R-8 roof insulation was included which helps prevent condensation and related issues from causing damage to the building.
