Regency Steel Buildings supplied this prefabricated steel mini storage building for a buyer in Houma, Louisiana, in January of 2016.

Desert sand in color, the low-maintenance mini storage building stands 70’x400’x9.5’ in size. Covering and protecting it overhead is a hardwearing, corrosion-resistant Galvalume metal roof with a 1:12 roof pitch, and inside the building are (155) 8’x7’ framed openings. Installed in each is one of (155) Janus Model 650 mini storage doors, and the project also includes (6) additional 4’x7’ doors equipped with panic hardware and automatic closers.

Installed in the roof of the mini storage complex is R-19 metal building insulation, while R-13 insulation can be found within the walls. The building also features a snow load of 30 lbs. and a wind speed of 150 mph, inclusions that were made given the Houma’s area’s typical climate patterns.

The only city within southern Louisiana’s Terrebonne Parish, Houma lies about 19 miles outside Lockport and 17 miles from Dulac.
