Mini Storage Outlet secured this pair of pre-engineered steel mini storage buildings for a business owner in Brule, Nebraska, sending the building kits to the west-central Nebraska community in April of 2025.
Durable, secure and designed to protect everything inside from the Midwestern elements, the buildings together feature 14 spacious storage units the owner can rent out in exchange for a monthly fee. Each unit offers 360 square feet of unobstructed interior space, and they all have high ceilings, making them suitable for housing vehicles, boats, RVs and other oversize items.
The owner custom-designed the building to meet his needs and those of typical renters in the area, adding a layer of insulation in the roof to help protect temperature-sensitive items and gutters and downspouts to prevent leaks and water damage. The roof also has a layer of DripX condensation control pre-applied to its panels, creating an additional barrier against moisture, mold and mildew.
Separating each storage unit from the next are rugged, 29-gauge steel partitions with Galvalume finishes, and each unit has a private door, creating easy access for tenants at any time of day. The outside of the self-storage business is Light Stone in color and so, too, are the mini storage doors, with complementary Colony Green architectural trim creating a nice contrast.
While the metal mini storage building is a great resource for renters to looking to protect their belongings from rain, snow, extreme temperatures, pests and other hazards, it’s also an income generator for the owner, for whom it’ll generate reliable rental revenue for years to come.
