Steel Mini Storage Building Kit in Pontoon Beach, Illinois

The owner of several existing Regency Steel self-storage facilities in Illinois wanted to open a new location in Pontoon Beach and ordered this prefab. metal mini storage building for the project in May of 2023.

The 72-unit, 40’x300’x8.5’ mini storage building has Light Stone exterior paint, a combination of Light Stone and Gallery Blue trim and Royal Blue mini storage doors boosting its street appeal. Inside, 29-gauge steel partitions separate the floorspace into (16) 5’x10’ and (56) 10’x20’ storage units, each of which has its own Model 650 painted mini storage door.

In the roof, a 2.5” layer of fiberglass insulation with WMP-VRR facing helps regulate temperatures, helping protect everything stored inside. The insulation also acts as an extra barrier against condensation, helping preserve the self-storage building’s structural integrity.

Part of Madison County, Illinois, and the St. Louis metro area, the village of Pontoon Beach sits just east of Granite City and about 15 miles northeast of St. Louis, Missouri.
